hi jospehine! welcome to the site and thank you for posting! Please keep in touch and tell us how things are going in Kenya and medicine there. We would love to know the experience of different medical students around the world!!

For one, medical students dont wear lab coats here anymore! Shameful!

Thanks happy for you that dont wear labcoats trust me its murder fr us guys. Today was an average day did my frst CVS examination on a lovely patient it was still freaking hot. Well i have to say i love it here in kenya you get to see literally every condition you are taught about its lovely, im doing Internal med and its fun but man no one tld me all the stuff id need at ma fingertips from pharmco to physio. Anyway Vals thanks for the offer i accept its nice to hear from someone.

Hi well we have five rotations internal med, general surg, ortho, path and psychiatry. In int med and surg we go to casualty to learn clinical skills as you ge more exposure there than in the wards. we also help with ward work which includes sending stuff to the labs for ABGs etc,we learn from 8-5
